Your Boxes in Action

Every now and then I like to pick a song and record my box in action with my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge phone. I upload to dropbox so I don't get copyright infringement notices. If it sounds this good on a phone upload just imagine in person. For those who have this box, you know what I'm talking about.

This music may not be everyone's cup of tea but it was selected to cover a wide range of music tastes for the demonstration.

Very true statement about these things not lasting forever. Many of the boxes in people's collection actually need more work than people realise with tired capacitors etc.

Your Samsung Galaxy 7 really does record nicely - the stereo effect is great. That sure is a healthy M90.

Many of the guys here including myself regularly record our boxes but with short, low quality recordings.

This thread has inspired me to lift my game and do some proper recordings that might prove useful for people who haven't heard some of the odd ball boombox models I seem to gravitate to.

Every box has it's own unique quality. This one Requires Headphones to demonstrate this boxes "special" talent. While Panasonic was known for their Ambient Sound boxes, no one really thinks about GE boxes. Quite a few boxes flopped trying to duplicate Panasonics success with this.

In my opinion whoever GE got to design the Stereo Accent circuitry on this box got it right. It makes a huge difference.

Even though this is recorded on my cell phone you can really tell the difference. It adds a wide depth that is better than most any wide setting on any box I've heard.

Again...if you listen to this through tablet, phone or PC without headphones this video will not impress you at all. Those with headphones will be like..."whoa..." and in person its 10 times better.
