What was your first boombox-With Pics please :)

Well, we had to start somewhere What was your first boombox? Make, Model, Pics, when where and how you got it etc.

My first boombox was a Sanyo M9935K that my parents bought for me circa 1983. Not too surprisingly, my love affair with boomboxes was rekindled after I found a Sanyo M9935K in a Goodwill years ago.

First box ever was this National Panasonic RX-5010F, bought at a flea market in Janesville, Wisconsin in 1983...



Still have it... box, directions and all.


A couple weeks later, I returned to Wisconsin, and bought this Quasar GX-3612UQ twin at American TV & Appliance in Madison...



Still have it, too.

The one that started it for me was given to me by my father in 83'.
This is my original after it's restoration.

My 1st box that I remember was a small Samsung with a double cassette deck. I don't know the model number
but I've got pictures from an eBay auction ('cause I don't have any original pics) that are on my dead iBook...

The 1st REAL BOX I got was the Lasonic TRC-931 my mother bought for me back in late '86/early '87:
