Here are some new additions...

Member Fresh Produce hooked me up with this really clean Lasonic TRC-931 3rd generation. Although I have never really had much interest in this model, it does have the LBS feature like the 975 and it hits pretty hard. It's also now 100% working.

I picked up this Panasonic super cheap off ebay. Seller said it didn't power up and was totally dead. Powers up for me, although it is stuck on one station and the deck needs belting. If anyone has a switch tab, PM me.

Although I have had this VZ2000 for about 5 years, I finally got it repaired and with the addition of some 3D printed sliders, it's now 100% working.

Lastly is a radio I have been searching for, for a long time. Lasonic TRC-915. This one is super rough and will need to be totally gone through. The seller included all the parts and it does power up.

Never seen a Lasonic 915 with the VU meters. I know of a Larsen TRC 915 (!) with three VUs. It looks like your new babe, but with a

Another nice haul Chris! That 915 looks very similar to a Sanyo M4500 but with M9994 grills. :-)

I concur. In my opinion, Lasonic had Sanyo in mind when they projected some of their models. For instance, I've always thought that the TRC 918 is inspired to the Sanyo M 9994 and the TRC 920 to the Sanyo M 7900

Yes, was talking with Fresh Produce and he said the same thing.

Yes, in the competitive world of "Design Borrowing" Lasonic pulled cues from many companies to make it "Their Own".

Awesome finds Chris. Love the rare lasonic. Hopefully you can piece it back together ;-)
I have every little tiny part in a bag, so I think I can get it put pack together. I can't find any info on this thing.

Thanks RBJ.

Do you know anything about this TRC-915? Is it Lasonic's first stereo box?

BTW, this thing is small. Really small! I will get a picture with it next to another Lasonic

Great work on that VZ..
Thanks NKL, it's taken a very long time to track down parts, rebuild it, clean it up and finally get it serviced.

Nice boxes. You know, i actually really like the 3rd gen 931, i think it showed Lasonic were prepared to try somthing a bit differant yet retained the classic layout. It looks super clean too.

Nice little haul there Chris

Does the Lasonic have some sort of line-out?
These Panny 5085's play well.
The 915 has no line in or line out. It's a very simple radio.

I never really cared for it, but after having the i931 for so long, it has made me appreciate the 3rd Gen. I never heard one before and I am very surprised by the sound quality. It hits like a 975 with the LBS on. Very powerful. This one is in very good condition.

I had/have all 3 generations of the 931 and in my opinion I liked the 3rd generation better than 1st but my 2nd is ultimately the best. ;-)
I have to agree, I think the 2nd Gen is the best. But I haven't gone through my 1st gen yet

That switch tip is the same one for RX 5150 and RX 5350.

Joe (blufuz) was the first to tell me I can use 5150 switch tip for 5350.
now I just need a 5150 or 5350 to raid :-P

Should be able to connect a DIN cable to that "REC/PB" jack, insert a blank tape, hit Record/Pause, and use that as your line in.
By the way, a boxed one was sold on Ebay back in 2015, here's the link:
