I was using "mp3rocket" for a long while. Haven't had to convert anything in a long while though.

Here's another one:

I'd rather support artists and DJs.

Well... let's say you like the audio of a YouTube video... you can throw the link in there, and it converts it to an mp3 audio file..... not exactly downloading music... but pretty much.

Of course, I'm sure most of us know, this will also depend on the quality of the video's audio.

Wow! You can even choose FLAC option (full lossless audio codec) too. That's excellent. You tend to not hear the full range of all the music when it's compressed.

Garbage site actually. Tries to install a fake flash update with a virus.

That's odd. I just used it this morning with no issues. Never had any issues, I've converted easily a thousand + videos to mp3.

The audio is likely the source link you're getting it from. Most songs can be found in multiples. You need to convert the 1 that sounds best to you. Mine play good and loud in mp3 format.

My IT friend turned me on to this converter a few days ago. Tested it on about 10 links. Works.  https://youtubemp3converter.to/

I guess I'm older than I thought and don't listen to MP3s much anymore after Firing up my old Sony CD Walkman. I couldn't believe my ears it was as if the music clarity and definition was 10x that of MP3's. This also applies to tapes you get a broad spectrum on the frequency scale.

If a music video was posted by the record label, it'll usually be high quality.  But the rest were posted by amateurs who probably just used a low-bitrate MP3 and imported it into some cheap/free video editing software they use, which probably lowers the quality even more..

riker the one your IT friend hooked you up with is safe too as long as it's got that https at the start.

Usually don't use online converters having installed

Xrecode3 - an audio converter, which supports most of the common audio formats, such as mp3, wav, flac.
