Below are some radio's I have recently acquired.

Clairtone 7979 (thank you THAFUZZ)

This box is super feature packed with FM presets and music scan on the cassette deck. Fully working, a 9/10. Stunning box.

Lasonic TRC-931 1st generation.

This radio is fully functioning, both decks work, all knobs and switches are there. It's in really good condition. It has lots of scratches on the top which I will have to polish out, one antenna post is broken and the lower deck has two springs on the deck door that push the cassette back into the mech that are broken. If anyone has a lower 1st gen deck door PM me, if not I will repair them.

Lasonic L30

This radio is rough and will need to be gone through 100%. BUT, it's is 100% complete and 100% functional. The sound is very strong. These are powerful boxes. Both decks work, but will need to be rebelted.

Soundesign 4632

My wife bought this off eBay out of the blue. She said "It popped up as a new listing with a cheap BIN" so she bought it. At first I asked her "Why would you buy that, it's tiny, not what I would normally buy". She said is was CHEAP! When it showed up, I couldn't believe how clean it is. Literally brand new with no signs of use EVER. The belts were slipping so I rebelted it and it's 100%. Member SLO then pointed out to me that this radio was used in the movie KRUSH GROOVE by The Fat Boys.

Great additions! Although it's a bit light on controls, I love the styling of that Soundesign. I can't get over that Clairtone, it's so minty!

Wonderful new acquisitions! The Clairtone is an incredibly beautiful box and it's by far your best score in an already impressive series. But I confess I am stunned by the little unheralded Soundesign. It is extremely original in design, and it looks like a time capsule item. Just lovely.

Only the 7979 came from THAFUZZ. The rest were eBay finds. Yes, I have been piling them on before the move. They are paying so, yeah, free to take them. Plus, I am grabbing Lasonic's since they are harder to get their

I hope the big Clairetone and Lasonics are coming to Europe with you Chris?
That Clairetone is stunning!
Yep, all coming to Europe! It's hard to take my eyes of the 7979. It's so sweet. Did a full write up and side by side comparo of it and the mighty M90 for the next issue of Boombox Magazine.

The Soundesign is a little football. It's fat! Sound isn't bad, even though it's only a tone knob box. But it's so minty fresh, it looks like it was built yesterday. Simply amazing.

Something about silver on chrome on silver. Always looks good, even on a little box!

Wow Chris!!!! Excellent haul there.
I missed the news about you moving to Europe!!??
The Clairtone was one of the hardest boxes I ever had to part with.
I still miss it from time to time.
That first gen 931 is sick!!! I have a deck door but not from a first gen.

Thanks Frank, all the details of the move in the off topic section.

I will have a look and see if the front of the 931 deck door comes off. Maybe I can use it.

Yeah, those 7979's are amazing. With out a doubt, the crown jewel of my collection

Those are such nice boxes to add to any collection but the Clairtone almost left me speechless, it's taken me a while to even comment.

Yes, that beautiful looking Clairtone does it for me!

Great additions bro, that clairtone is one good looking box. I don't recall seeing many around here. Are those 8" speakers?

Now that you have that 1st Gen 931 in person, how do you like the looks compared to the 2nd Gen? I know you still have some cleanup, but it looks pretty clean from here.

Yes, the Clairtone has 8's. They seem to be very rare, I don't see them posted up very often.

As for the 1st Gen. I need to go through it all. Even though it is working, I can tell, like the 2nd gen I had, it's not playing at it's full potential. All the switches and knobs need to be cleaned to let the power through. So, as of right now, it's not very impressive, but neither was the 2nd gen when I got it. I will go deep into this radio after I get moved.
