Acrylic solvent is great for things like that but unfortunately, it also tends to damage the painted finish if it leaches out onto it. Acrylic solvent will actually chemically "weld" the plastic back together and in my opinion, is every bit as strong as before it broke. However, due to the drawback mentioned earlier, which occurs because the solvent is very runny, seemingly thinner than water, a repaint is often in order after a solvent repaired front panel. There are other repair methods such as epoxy, gorilla glue, etc, which leaves an ugly mass on the backside, but since they are too thick to inject into the crack itself (which the solvent can penetrate and fill via capillary action), the front, while stabilized, might still have a crack that you can feel with your fingernail.

Will, can you pop that piece back into place so it feels flush? It looks like you should be able to.

If so, and there's no peices missing, then as Superduper suggests, acrylic solvent will work great for that.

If you were to get what I call an "acid brush" from a local paint supply store, and dip it in the solvent, then shake off as much as you can, and lightly wipe it on the back side.... it should weld the plastic with hopefully little to no damage to the paint on the front side.

And heck, if it needs a repaint, customize it to your liking!

It looks like I can pop it back into place, but that thing isn't budging. Don't think I can do anything with this. I need to look at the original pictures, because I think it happened during transit.

Well, it did not happen during transit. I don't know how I missed that. I need to start examining those pictures more.

Oh man, that sucks. Is that the only picture that shows it? That's unfortunately a little misleading if that's the only picture with the crack. Not super noticeable.

Yep, that is the only picture that shows the damage and it wasn't mentioned in the listing.

Try to see which part of the crack is hitting the casing and "convince" it back into place with a firm but light twist of a certified twisting tool (straight screwdriver) until you can push the cracked piece back out.. Don't give up yet!

Sorry dude but that is dishonest selling. The seller MUST highlight a fault like that. A close up pic of any known cosmetic or structural fault is essential if you are a quality EBay seller.

Many would have missed spotting that crack as it's tight up against the speaker grill.

Yeah as Jimmy says I would of expected that to be highlighted. Both in picture and in the description. I don't mind buying a "fixer uper" when it's clear that's happening but I would not be happy that cracked not being listed in the description.

Everyone kind of slipped up either noting that it was cracked, seeing that it was cracked, or asking if it was cracked.

Either way, it's all yours now so do what you can with it. Like Superduper said, you will most likely want to repaint it if you use acrylic cement.

Sorry to see it has the damage, now it really justifies doing some custom paint work. Blessing in disguise!

PS, I know I have a spare front case or 2 but they both have some kind of damage too.

I'm with these guys Will, I believe you can pop that piece back in. Finish the tear down, pop the piece in, Acrylic solvent it back and and paint it some outrageous color!
