I own an old Honda Prelude. 1985 to be exact. I recently acquired the original stereo to go along with the equalizer that I found years ago. The lights reminder me of old boomboxes... Check it out for yourself.

It looks like the 80s were also a fun time for car audio as I've seen other cool car stereo systems (I'll find and post later once I get my bottom on a computer, I'll also link the video I took so you all are able to see the dancing lights.)

Enjoy!

Here's my very rare Honda 2000 radio.
- Made in Japan.
- Made by Alpine.
- Made for 1990-1991 USA Honda models.
- Not available in Canada as Canada got the Honda 3000 radio.
- It has an DIN input in the back for a CD player or Equalizer.

Part number 08a01-101-230

The tape player doens't work on the tape deck, it needs new belts, still looks cool though.

I love Honda Preludes & 80's car stereos, the higher tech the better  That Pioneer at the bottom :w00t: What a beauty & all electronic controls................just a tiny taste in the 80's of what was possible in the future & for me, the 1980's may have been a grim time to be a young man, the technology was just fantastic!! Who wouldn't want that Pioneer in their car now???? :-D I know I would - magical machines indeed & great post!!

I had a 1990 Mk II Prelude in metallic grey, very low down car, pop up headlamps 4 wheel steering & a twin cam 2 litre engine!! That car really went, loved it!

Sony CD player & JBL direct replacement speakers front & rear & I tell you that was incredible! No silly amps or bass bins just quality products that went so well together - bass levels were nuts for just a head unit & the JBL's - Such happy days & sadly long gone now............

Was that the stock system or the upgrade audio system? Regardless, that's a great find. Nice vintage on the Prelude too. Those were nice looking cars.

Man I love vintage car audio stuff. I said it once, the Pioneer Super Tuner was the absolute best in picking up radio stations. The stuff is highly sought after nowadays. I've sold a few car decks and speakers recently and I was very, very surprised by the end of the auction, people spend big bucks on this stuff.
