Hey I managed to get a minty 838 together between 2 units & fully working...I did a thread about broken solder joints along the control board interface with the amp baord...
Anywhoo, once everything was working, I noticed the left channel is quite a bit stronger than the right channel by I would guess 6+ db gong by ear...looking at the schematic, there are 2 playback surface mount pots for Left & Right, also 2 pots for biphonic balancing....
Do the 'playback' adjusters work for tape, radio & line in or only tape playback? Or, do the biphonic adjusters work in normal stereo mode too? A bit confused by the setup so if anyone can chime in with info that would be appreciated.
If I find out on my own, I'll post back with more....
