There are a few flea markets that I go to here and several of them have tuners, amps, speakers, cassette players and turn tables literally stacked to the ceiling! Basically tripping over the stuff and it just sits. No one ever shows any interest with the stuff. So are there any particular brands I should be looking out for? I know of the usual mainstream brands, but not much else. I probably wouldn't hang on to the stuff, probably just re-sell or trade for things I'm looking for. It's a shame seeing them just sit there.

tripping over the stuff you say??? First off, where are you located ? lol

Outside of 'Mainstream' brands, there are lots of other brands of good stuff especially in the speaker and turntable areas. Maybe just as easy to take pics and post them as it depends on what your idea of mainstream is also. An also, many makes have models of stuff that may be of lesser quality and not worth the effort to fix. Turntables can be a real pain but are popular now

You could always take the makes/models and just check ebay or other audio sites to see what is worth it.

Just soo many makes over the years so thjis may expedite things quicker.

Anything Silver is a good starting point. :-)

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, that is no exaggeration. One place in particular is almost dangerous to walk through! Gotta make sure your elbows are tucked in or you will suffocate in a pile of old electronics! Well mainstream to me would be Pioneer, Technics, Sony, JVC, and so on. I grew up listening to my dads Grundig. Next time I go there, I will take pictures of how much is piled there. Won't be this weekend, one neighborhood where I live is having there annual yard sale and it is blocks and blocks of homes to go through.
