Anyone replaced one before and can ofer advice
I have been lucky have had a lot of JVCs never had to change the pinch roller
well always a first ;-) seems like JVC made this as a none replacable part
instead of a push out pin like on the Sharps the roller is almost riveted in
Darn :bang:

Hopefully it works out. Good luck!
M70 decks are really tough after all these years.

As I remember one end is left free and the other end of the pin is secured to the holder. It could be a friction joint. I can't remember.

I was thinking about filing the rivet end cap, or push it out and replace with another pin, and use dremel to make grooves for C clips. :hmmm:

I think it was designed for a full part replacement for the holder and pinch roller assembly.
All the pinch roller on my JVCs looks like new.
Sharp's rollers got hardened and cracked in many cases.

as for Sharp they almost always need to be replaced
lucky they made it easy to do
