Nice mate, thanks for the info. Apparently, the big four are Pye Pro Lab System 100, the next smaller pair are Hitachi HS-310s and then other pair I think are Wharfdale or maybe Kenwood. So good eye, two or three people are telling me the same :-)

They are crappy speakers! I won't spend any money on them.

If you find a Pioneer HPM100 go for it.

Most of those old speakers got crossover issues and worn out surrounds. They don't come close to the modern speakers of these days.

Unless one has a good understanding on what model they are buying and the value of it don't buy it.

I do have a collection of over 32 pairs of large speakers.

Thanks, I passed on it in the end as I had logistical issues as well as budgetary ones lol. I'm just hunting individual pieces to suit my tastes rather than bulk lots in the hope of finding stuff I like :-) Lesson learned....
