TWINS, in SpatialStereo

Today i got another PHILIPS SoundMachine.
It was not really cheap (30euros), but i wanted this unit.
Fully working in nice condition, needs only an good clean up next days.

VS proudly presents, now booming:
PHILIPS D8634 AM-FM SoundMachine Mark2
(what a name)



Another unit with flashing LEDs, i love them...



And what better than comparing with another unit.
The D8614 is very similar to it.
Same inside, but complete another front

And so the fight:
D8614 meets D8634



2 brothers in booming



The first look is very different.
But look at the knobs.
All functions on the same place.
I think the live inside must be exact the same.



The backside tells it better, they are twins!



The D8634 is more classic looking:

Lots of knobs and buttons. Lots of chrome.

I do believe that it would be difficult for me to choose which one I like better. I think it be the all silver version. Hey are those woofers blue??

Yes, hard to say which one is nice.

No, the blue look must come from my camera.
It was taken a littlebit against the sunlight

The label tells 30W
But if you ever listened to an SpatialStereo (Expanded, Wideangel, ....) you will enjoy it. :vespa:

That is very true!

Very cool looking boxes, both of them. Hard to pick a winner, but I'd have to say I like the design of the silver one, but the buttons from the grey one.

I bet they sound really good. Philips makes good stuff.

Interesting that the greyish one looks so much like a three-piece box!

The D8634 I have has blue woofs. And sounds wunderbar!!!
