M70 speakers

Hey everyone I just scored a m70 oit of an alley in detroit. Woofers are totally gone and so are the tweeters. What speakers would fit. I like the lasonic speaker idea but need to know what fits in the box.

It will be very hard to find 6.5" speakers that will fit without getting original JVC woofers. You really want to find an original set of speakers for that radio to get it back to awesome... Try to post a request in the Boomobxes & parts wanted section & see if someone can sell you some M70 woofers & tweeters. NikonFoo has lots of stuff like that & he's an eBay seller too.

Yeah the cones are gone just the basket and voice coil. I found brand new 6.5 jvc speakers but there 40 bucks a piece. Just wanted to know if it's worth getting stock speakers or if someone knew what others work or sound better. But if the jvc are really thay good I'll pay 40 a piece.

really 80 bucks is not bad for original speakers , provided the rest of the box is in decent shape even spending up to 150 bucks to buy the woofers and tweeters would be a good investment because as long as the box is in good condition you can always make your money back if you had to sell it .

JVC Floyd if i wasnt a nicer guy I would of said $80 or $150
but i think $40 is about right you wont get new ones that cheap
And they wont have the same sound
The thing is im in Japan shipping $25

But really the M70 is not an M70 without the original speakers
Arial batttery cover missing whatever doesn't effect sound

Agreed . I say stick with stock also. Trying to fit different ones in may be more grief than it's worth. Jjust the time sourcing, retrofitting, and so on.

That, and $65 landed @ your door from a very trusted seller/member is a no-brainer.
BTW, or some, at least. Let us see what you are working with !

where can i get a set of the replacement surrounds for these speakers??? looks like these were replaced...
