Hi, looking for someone who has experience with repairing this box. I'm having a bit of trouble with my 9000, there is no power going to the deck motor. When I press the buttons on the deck, the power light comes on (which suggests the amplifier section is activating) but the motor doesn't power up. I have checked all belts and the mechanism, and all seems to be moving freely when turning the flywheel by hand, and the belts still seem good. All wiring plugs from the deck are connected to the circuit boards. I just don't know what's going on with this. Has anyone else had this problem with the 9000 or another box? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :-)

Thanks for the reply, Bill. I don't have a voltmeter, but my mate has. I was looking for the micro switch but couldn't find one. The only one I could find was controlled by the pause button.

Have you checked to see if this (arrowed) connector has come adrift or loosened? It may be awkward to refit or check but I use a very small mirror as the fitting is out of the sight-line.

I can't tell if this is auto or manual deck, I never had one but from looks it's an auto deck just like GF777. But if manual deck switch will be located around the carriage. If auto it will located near white cog wheel as in pic of this Sanyo.

Hey Bill, the deck is an auto one. I will look again for a micro switch near the cogs. Someone on the other forum suggested a resistor could've blown. Thanks for the pic.
