Taking the Cover off the Realistic SCR-8

I want to attempt and get the cassette deck in the Realistic SCR-8 to work fully functionally again, but I cant seem to get the cover off to start the process! I am not well versed in boombox repair, but do know a considerable amount about cassette decks. I figure once I get it off, I can start and get it done in no time. As of now, it's kicking my ass. HELP!

If I'm understanding you correctly I think you need to unscrew and remove the clear tape deck door and remove all the knobs in order to separate the front and rear case to get inside. Especially the tuning knob I believe. Does that help?

GZ is correct. All the knobs off and cassette door clicks up and out. Box access from the front.
