well as some of you guys know iv been looking into making a lower cassette door for my conion and iv tried various door mechs and guides with what i have ......

well last night it finally beat me....After chopping a few doors to pieces including the guide from a sanyo 9998.....I realised i was beat and couldnt do it...I just could not get it to work properly...

So i decided just to use the perspex i had cut, with the aid of some lego bits and some printing onto brushed chrome vinyl paper...........

You can still put a tape in and close the door..it will eject ok but you need to reach in to get the tape in and out...........

At least now there isnt a space where the door should be....

Looks pretty goon honestly. Much better than a missing door.

You know...I agree.  It isn't bad and If you work on the graphics a bit you could even have something that would truly fool most.

I tried to get that font that caution used on the front trims but all the sites said it had been taken off by the copyright owner

Wow man, that looks pretty damn good!

Any attempt at a cassette door is better than nothing and yours looks really good!

NICE WORK!

Hey Dave, sorry I never got round to checking any of my old doors yet, been so busy.

Tbh, I think what you have done so far is actually better than squeezing in an ill fitting door of off another unit
