I scored two nice boxes recently on flea.

First is the Crown SZ-5100SL which I bought it for 8 euros on the local flea market.

It was very dirty but after a good bathing I've done it came nice and shiny. Everything works. I cleaned all the switches with the deoxit, cleaned and lubed the both decks and changed the deck belts.

All the plastic crunch when I carry it around  and it is very light in weight but it's looker
The both antennas are not original and for the quality of the sound i refuse to talk :-D

Here it is some pics

The second is Sound PC-172 also found on flea but this one it cost me much expensive, the whole 12 euros
This is an aka of Helix 4636.

For this one I did the same procedure with the cleaning and changing of belts and all it's working as it should except the transformer it doesn't work :-/
It is work nice with battery and adapter on 15 V.
Also the antennas are not original but I found some similar to fit and it's look nice now :-)

It weighs almost twice as the Crown, although both are the same size.
The sound is very good with the precise highs and very solid bass and it's very loud.

Another thing about this box it came strange, I can not find any other pic or info about this model anywhere on the internet :hmmm:
This may be a rare bird :-)

Thanks guys, the cleaning of this two boxes it was very tedious and I put a lot of patience since each impurities is easily visible in such shine plastics and at both of the boxes there was residues of the labels everywhere.

In the battery compartment of the Crown i found folded user manual and purchase bill. Obviously they was inserted therein right after purchasing in 1988. The paper of the manual is crumbling and it's in very bad condition.
The Crown is purchased in some German electronic store on November 14 1988 for 299 DM which is about 250 euros in today's values.
