Hi all, I just got my Sanyo C9 few days ago and had a problem with tape deck that I really need your help.
Here is what the deck is currently working:
- The fast forward works fine all the time.
- The rewind doesn't work at times (works few seconds then stop), but it works fine if a tape is inserted.
- The stop function works fine with fast forward ON. It doesn't work most of the times with rewind ON, in this case I have to hit fast forward then STOP to stop the deck.
- The play button doesn't engage into position. When I hit it, the motor did spin, then stop in a fraction of second, the small metal axle above the pinch roller did spin too, but the take up axle doesn't spin at all. So the play mode stop shortly after pressed.
- When in idle position, hitting STOP or PAUSE button does exactly as hitting PLAY: The motor spin in about half a second then stop.
I noticed that the small wheel in following picture get engaged in Fast Forward mode but not in Play mode:
Any help and suggestion would be much appropriated guys. Thanks a lot!
