Howdy. I ended up with a nice looking 931 from my father who bought it new out of a sears catalogue. He would take it to work and back and the car shook the hell out of it. The insides look like someone took a hammer to it, but the outside is minty. It even has the plastic wrap on the handle still!

Would it be worth soldering the almost dozen broken wires back on? The top tape deck broke off the bottom one lost its motor (which i found in the bottom).

It appears the AUX works in the back, and the radio has static but not much else. Im up here in minneapolis.

Is that big board on the top left broken too? The cassette motor is just laying in there?!? Ouch....


I don't know if you would be able to find everything you need without buying another complete working one that isn't mint. Swap the working guts into your case.

That might be the best way to go! The board looks broken, but it is just kinda... bent. It looks worse in the photos. I suppose I could always just solder the aux back up and use it with my ipod.

This box is the perfect accessory for my 95' Cadillac Fleetwood :p
