Hi everyone, my VZ-2000 has been great so far but records are a bit wowy (speeding up and slowing down). I changed the belt and I still have the problem, I removed the belt and cleaned the motor pinion and the rim of the platter and the belt with the wipes that came with the belt and it's improved but it's still not quite right. Can anyone suggeast a better cleaning agent or do I need to start worrying about the motor?

Thanks in advance for any reply.

I once told my wife to turn off my VZ but she pressed the cue button which lifted the needle off the record but the motor kept spinning. The poor motor ran for nearly 20 hours!!!!

I went up to my loft room the evening after and it was still spinning. After that the record played slow and fast so I took the record unit out and put some WD40 on the motor shaft and let it soak for a while to lubricate the bearings. It seems to have done the trick, try it it could be the motor tightening up.
