Hey!

After rescuing my i931 im really happy with all the features. Except! The aux channel input only comes out of the right speaker? I've tried different stereo 3.5mm jack leads and iPods, but the problem persists. Weirdly though if I half plug my headphones in, I do get sound in both ears!? If you plug them in fully it's only in one ear? So what's the issue!? Would a mono lead work? Or is there a problem with the aux input!? Any ideas appreciated!

If you half plug the headphone jack in, then you're actually hearing one channel in both ears as one band on the jack will bridge both channels' outputs so you still have a dead channel I'm afraid.

It's all fine via USB/tuner/sd so the aux is knackered then? That's pretty shitty for a brand new unit!?

It could be some minor thing such as a bad connection in the socket, thought that usually applies to older devices whose sockets have lost the spring tension in their contact or have become corroded. We can probably - unless you're extraordinarily unlucky - discount the leads you're using as you've tried several. I understand what a collosal PITA it would be, but I'd be tempted to let the supplier deal with this under warranty, assuming that the power supply job that it already had done doesn't void the guarantee terms.
It shouldn't as long as that was carried out by a suitably qualified person.

Worst case scenario? If the warranty is invalid, it would only take a decent engineer a few minutes to identify a bad connection at an RCA socket and a few more minutes to swap it for a good one and those are inexpensive, generic parts.
