Hey man,

I'm using some Acoustic Research bookshelf speakers (I think they are the 215ps older model) for my RX-6400 and it sounds tits. I mean I am half tempted to throw out my Rotel home system with 15's. Sure its got more bass but the quality and sound dynamics don't even compare. Super crazy how good it sounds for such a little setup. I didn't have a chance to test them with my 3500 yet though its in storage.

4 ohms spec running on 8 Ohms will show a lot of quality concerns on low power output devices and practically none with high power recievers like my 5000 series Denon.

Buy a pair of Infinity IL series like IL 10. They will sound awesome on 3500. They are 8 ohms speakers. Now one can find those pretty cheap. They are very nice speakers.

I was reading the 3500 user guide and it said 4 ohms. My 3500 head unit for $78 shipped came in today, it has an output of 8oms (where the speakers hook up) I'm going 8 ohm. I found this on the bay, is this the kind you are talking about? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infinity-IL-10-Main-Stereo-Speakers-/291330855213?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item43d4ac112d

That is professional packing! wow!

You will enjoy this unit! Make sure to do a good cleaning with Deoxit on those Phono, Tape, Aux, FM stereo, FM, AM selector switches. After opening lay it flat face up and squirt deoxit and work on them several times. Mine had some issues and it solved it.

Dude. You are so right. They handle awesome and sound fantastic. I may buy another pair and run all four of them. Thank you for the advice. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10203218144510514&l=6205116621792168104
