those old comodore computers are beginning to be scooped up to be turned into sid chip based synthesizers more and more .
i am not sure if the com 20 has the sid chip or not but com 64 computers are really becoming scarce in these parts.

Very nice finds!!

Welcome to the Philips Small Appliance Club. Here's how I got my membership...

And since we're talking about small appliances made by major electronics manufacturers, I'll see your Philips and raise you a Kenwood...

So there! :-P

I have ~ 10 antique tuberadios stored, they are all from my grandma.
But i´m not really interested in them.
I only keep them for personal memories!

But some are quite nice. :-)

Or some nice adds to magnetophone or so...

The problem of the very old units is, there is no UKW. :-/
I have some units of the radio beginning, only with MW and LW.

But also some with UKW
Here 4 of them

PHONOLA (ex kitchen grandma) and KAPSCH (livingroom)

MIVAR Samar and KAPSCH Harmonie UKW (other grandma)

And a KAPSCH Univers in awesome condition is located in my livingroom.
Love it.
The sound is soooo other than a boombox.
I play it for relaxing an dreaming in the evening... |-)

Those are from the ending 50s till the beginning 70s.
I own 2 big units of the 40s, but only MW and LW.

Here 2 more modern ones.
The left one is a PHILIPS Adagio.
My first homestereo (tube unit)
The right is a HORNYPHON Prinz

And this is the one of the living room.
Love it for the warm harmonic sound and the look
Like a dinosaur

nice radios roman, definitely very beautiful
Thanks John.

And anybody thinks shipping a boombox is difficoult?
Ok, try shipping a tube radio without damage. :-O :-/

lots of bublewrap,

news paper crushed,

and some tape to secure it, woulto do the trick.

and by the way, i once shipped a 40 pound tube radio from the States,

to Portugal,

and it arrived intact.

!!!

nice.

Better some styropor flocks or plates.
But i will see who the winner of my tuberadio at ebay is.
Would be better he gets it without shipping. :hmmm:
