Lasonic TRC-975 No right channel Repair

I picked up a nice 975. The box had no right channel output.
I took the unit apart, and swapped 7A72's around to see if one was blown.
Still no right channel. I decided some fresh caps might do the trick...I was right. Replaced all electrolytics and she's booming away both channels now!


Make sure you label what direction the wires came off.

Cap swapping is relaxing and kind of fun!


I didn't have as good of luck fixing my 5350 though as you did with your Lasonic.

Its his 5350 now, I just get first dibs on it when/if he gets around to fixing it. Right now, my repairs didn't hurt anything and he was able to get the buzzing to stop. Something with the mic mix knob is faulty and the tuner is dead.......
