lasonic TRC-931 fix? speakers humming and no sound

just bought a lasonic TRC-931 and im trying to restore it. mostly everything on it is fuctional but there is no sound other than a humming noise and you can barely hear and music. please if anyone has come across this before and has successfully fixed the problem id be grateful to be told about it.

No sound while using any functions like FM and line in??

I have no idea but there are a few resto heroes that have restored these budget boomers back from the brink so hopefully someone helps ya out before you end up throwing it in front of a train, out of frustration....
