Stop Polishing your knobs and start twisting them!
Sunday September 14th is BEAT SWAP in Chinatown, Los Angeles. It is a mixture of cassette / vinyl swap meet, Dance Off, DJ Competition with good food mixed in.
I went last year with members Fresh Produce - Peter, Mac daddy Freshness - Adrian and =ml= - Miles
It is an event where VOLUME is KING. It features outdoor DJ's pumping up the volume and walking around with a boombox at full volume is not only appreciated, it's encouraged. Last year I took the TRC-935 and it was a HIT!
I sat down while my wife went into a few shops, I had my box pumping out some dubstep and some kids walked up and started dancing which brought over more people to watch them dance! My blaster was doing EXACTLY what it was designed to do, bring the beat to the street for a dance competition! Kids were jumping in and out of the circle jammin' to the music.
Many comments and thumbs up followed.
Well, not everyone was impressed!
I highly encourage you to take a radio down off the wall and join us.
Some suggestions....
BRING YOUR LOUDEST BOX! And maybe something you're not as worried about as you will be navigating a crowded space. Of course SIZE matters and I can already tell from last years reaction to the 935, that when I show up with the freshly repaired INTERSOUND J1 747 SUPER JUMBO (I just like saying all that) that it will blow everyone's mind!
