Here is a video about LED light bulb replacement on a 2001 Lance 1130 11'6" camper. You can see the draw of the incandescent bulbs before and the LED bulbs after. I bought a 10 pack of LED replacement bulbs that replace the standard 1141 bulb for only $16.00 shipped from China off eBay including shipping.

I saw another video on youtube of a guy working at a camper sales place saying that replacing your bulbs can save up to 8X in power consumption (duhhh) but when your livin' off batteries, anything helps!

Soon I will be showing my "Building a windmill from an old treadmill" thread once I get it done!

LEDs are fantastic. I changed all the interior bulbs in Mrs. Fatdog's car.

I wasn't sure what the color would be, I had a choice of Bright White and a kind of Soft Yellow, I went with white. I also didn't want it to be super bright and glaring. THESE are the ones I got. They are good, not too bright, but white and clear.

Which bulbs did you replace?

There were two overhead lights above the dashboard, the big overhead light above the back seat, and the light in the cargo area. I left the lights on the bottom corners of the door panels the same.

I would still like to upgrade the two above the dash to something a little brighter.

Oh, she drives a Santa Fe similar to this:

Super Cool....

I'll tell ya, one night a week ago I was talking to my dad on the phone, I was out in the camper mulling around while on the phone, I turned on 10 lights and left them all on for the duration of the call, 1 hour and 35 minutes. The battery meter NEVER MOVED!

I can tell you from experience that having just 1 of the 1411 bulbs on over the table and a smaller bulb that is under the stove vent / hood that we normally use to light the camper that it would drop the battery to "Fair" in that time.

I also noticed that I did need to use a few more lights to get the same amount of light in the room, but obviously it didn't affect my battery storage.

Put them all in today. Can't wait to turn them all on at the same time! Its nice to know that we can leave these on and not worry about them getting hot. Much safer in the bunk beds where the kids want to hang out and read.

I've been using my the last few weekends and they have worked great! Haven't even dropped the battery below 70%. They work awesome!
