Aiwa CA-W30

Has anyone worked on one of these? It's in excellent condition, the tuner works perfectly, the EQ works. The issue is the take up reels don't turn so it will play a tape for a minute or so then you end up with tape spooled out of the cassette shell.
Does this sound like a belt issue?

Yes it sounds like belts or the take up idler wheel slipping.
Both are easily fixable.
