JVC RC-838, no sound on tapedeck

Hi guys

It's been a while but I finally had time to change the belts on my jvc rc-838!
The tapedeck is working now without stopping, but there is no sound...

Radio is working normal and when I press play I can hear the sound of the tape for not even a half of a second...

Any ideas what that could be? I'm not sure if I hooked up everything correctly...

Could be a number of things like broken wire or dirty switch or bad head. I would first try cleaning the function switch. If that don't work check for broken wires
