Crown 950 left FM radio channel doesn't work

The left FM radio channel is almost dead. Switch to mono doesen't help. everything else (tape, phono, AM radio) works fine on both speakers. The stereo LED don't turn on, even with strong signals. any ideas?

Anybody got the schematics or a service manual?

Most likely a decoder fault when all of the am bands are working correctly. Hifi engine doesn't seem to hold a circuit diagram for these but if you're a radiomuseum.org member maybe they can help.

You can try to clean with deoxit or other switch cleaner the function and band switch ;-). As for led there should be and adjustable pot for it. I will look and see where and get back to you. Most of time it's closest to tuning capacitor :yes:

There is a clear signal on the left channel. i can hear everything. but it's too silent in comparison to the right one. i already put some switch cleaner in...
