This stereo/boombox/radio has been in our office forever. I'm talking 30+ years almost or maybe longer.

This boomer doesn't have tape decks, no battery storage, but looks really cool.

What is is? What is it worth? Is it cool? How old is it? Made in Germany..... Tell me anything you know about it.

Just thought I would share the pics with you because I finally had my camera at work.

Looks like it is from 1968 based off some info I found online. There was also a "black" version that had black speaker grills instead of the wood.

I think this stereo was the original owners of this business. Their son(my boss) now runs the place and is a cool guy. I bet every secretary from 1970+ has used this. Lots of memories for sure. I don't think I could get it from him.

How much did that Grundig sell for in USD? I don't know the conversions.... :-/ The listing said 66,0. Is that euros?

Just type the item # into ebay 220485249883

66,00 Eur = about $97 USD

Not worth selling for that price  :-/

What do you say OSS...., your words sounding like this "I'm gona mod it my JVC M-70 with CD charger for 5 CD and with record player, and... etc" :nonono:

This radio it's fantastic and worth it just like you see it, in original, without any change. :-)

Agree with toni.
Sorry, please no modification. :nonono:
This is an pretty rare one.
One of the first full transistor portable units from GRUNDIG.
And you see the DIN connection at the back.
So you can connect it easily with other supplys without modification! :breakdance:

OMG, I've been looking for a Satellit 2100 for a while, but now the box you have!! That radio is amazing, especially being a stereo. Looks really big too. I love it! I so wish I could buy it from you!!

Sorry guys, if this was my box I would probably trade it. It was my bosses dads and has been at our work since they got it. It will forever be a part of this place.

And look at this, now about 9 years later they are doing some reno project in the front office and no one wants this old Grundig. They presented it to me as a FREEBIE!

"You like this old stuff, right?!" Yah, DUH! LOL
