Hey Australian members!
I'm about to buy a bulk lot of belts; one for each box I have, from Studio Sound Electronics. They seem like pretty good rates when compared to the cost of buying singular belts for each model, some belt kits are $20! Imagine replacing each unit's belts at that rate! :-O
So kind fellow Fatdog has come forward as middle man as that particular company won't ship outside USA.
It would be cool if all us down under members got together an order and we'll get them all shipped in one hit.
If anyone wants in, please get a list of your required belt sizes ready. They can be referenced here and at other sites online such as turntableneedles.com or vintage-electronics.net for example.
I'm hoping to place the order in under a fortnight, I'm tired of my belts being broken! :-)

I'm super keen to get on board but I was wondering if I could place a bulk order of various size/styles of belt. I've got tonnes of decks to rebelt but down want to have to measure every belt in order to place an order.

James....:-)

Hmm.., well you could always opt for one or two flat belt kits which could sort you out..?
I'm seriously thinking of grabbing two of them instead of referencing every single belt size!
Only thinking about it... :-D

I'd personally go for at least 2 bulk belt kits to get me started. I'd much rather have extras than have a box all apart for weeks trying to find the right belt!!

James.... :-)

Yes I am still doing this, apologies for the duration, so swamped of late.

Bulk belt kit costs US$16 from http://www.studiosoundelectronics.com/cassette.htm#BELT
You get 11 belts. I'm going to grab 6 or 7 bulk flat belt kits and a couple square ones and then Jimmy and whoever else wants them can grab them from me at cost.
As soon as Sean has made his order I'll order mine. I'll give him a week ;-)
So anyone who wants to add any belt kits just let me know within the week, I'll be ordering them Friday next :-)

I may have to request PayPal deposits up front from whoever wants belt kits, please PM me with your order and I'll let you know how I'm doing.

I'm definitely up for 3 kits ... I can pay up front. I might check out what else I need in the next couple of days. But if I am slack and don't get back to you. Order me 3 kits. I can pay up front no worries.
Thanks
Shane

I'll check to see if getting specific ones is doable and get back to ya
It totally is but it's pretty time consuming, you just have to know the sizes you want. Also proves slightly more expensive but at least you're getting exactly what you want.

So - I'm placing the order tonight - could those who wish for belt kits please PayPal me the amount necessary to purchase what they want plus a couple of extra $ for shipping - please be sure to include a note within the payment specifying which kits you're after.
My email is ledmeter at hotmail.com for PayPal purposes.
Yay! Can't wait to have belts!

Hi to all AU members who wanted belts - I've just spent approximately $200 on 10 flat belt kits and 3 square belt kits.
Those who wanted kits, please confirm with me how many you wanted via PM and we can organise reimbursement as soon as kindly member Fatdog has provided me a postage quote from his place to Down Under, that way i can work out the total from Studio Sound electronics to your home.
I need to top my paypal account back up as soon as I can so if you wanted belts then please see that you fulfil your desire  :-D
