:hmmm: :hmmm:

I wanted to help but sadly I don't have a RX 5250.(one Panny I don't have on my collection in the heavy weights of RX series) Just wondering if you could find the other end of these wires hanging inside the unit., or could have pulled out from a connector of solder joint.

I would look up in the schematics and figure it out from where they are coming out/origin.

Sadly I don't have a schematic. I can't see any place they would come from. The connector next to the wires goes to the head amp board. I figure it has something to do with the tape section.

it could be wires for the tape player moter
is everything working on it?
see if the moter runs
it looks like positive & negative wires
or the may be wires for one of the speakers
or it could go to the battery termanals

if everthing works on it than i would not worry too much as those wire could have been used to test something and just cut and left there especially if there was a last minute change .... :-)

Everything works as it should.

The long switch is the record function switch. Did you check recording? :hmmm:
I thought about that. I haven't recorded anything to a tape yet, but I do get levels on the VUs. It probably does have something to do with recording.

A-HA! It would make sense that they would be test points. On your 5700, you can see the TP prefix on the board. From the angle I was looking, you can't see that on mine. I don't see too many test points with wires attached.

Thanks for the help.. sure is a load off!
