Hi everyone.well a few weeks ago I got a filthy and somewhat abused
PioneerSK-750 for $38.00.
Well they said it wouldn't power up.
I got it and it indeed powered up and with some working the switches
the tape deck works to!
I opened it up today and unfortunately the volume control board that's
connected to the back side had been repaired!
Now there wasn't much tension put on it but it must have been enough
because one of the repaired connections gave way!

It was humming then so I just broke all the connections because it was
poorly done.
But this is going to be a major PITA!!
Next sunny day out comes the small soldering iron and hope for the best.

The other bummer on this was that the output led's were working on the
right side but not the left. :hmmm:

After some checking all wires and connections were good.
Now they don't work on either side!! Damn! :annoyed:
I did clean and lube the cassette deck and got that all good and cleaned!

Just want to get this beast going again, the sound was incredible!
Need a volume control,photos within 2 days.
I may be able to fix this but it's a pretty good break on the little board.
Also need a cassette door and battery cover but forth price-hell I'll
get it going again but I would really welcome any help or anyone with
a extra part or who could fix this for me-I'll pay!!

Please help this old Pioneer!! :-O
Ramon, I know you have one of these, any suggestions?
Any and all advice and input welcomed!! :-) :hmmm:

It's been re-soldered and is now working again!!
Thank God for pin-point solder irons!
It's jammin again but still no output LEDs! :hmmm:

I have to adjust the ribbon wire going to the
volume control but it's all good again with cassette
working also!
Man does this thing have bass and power!!!
Blows away the 550's! No comparison!
Happy! :-)

Good deal, Jeff. They do have a nice sound. I recently discovered that my Tape function button stopped working.

Bobby you have a 750?!
I didn't know, curious what condition is it in?
I need to get a parts box or another as this is just great for it's size!!
Man I have to get one of those 900's someday!!

If we get together someday I'll bring my 750.
Got any parts for me Bobby or are you needing any parts for yours?

Love the Pioneers!! :surf:

I just bathed the front but I have to paint the grills!
Now how to get those off!! :hmmm:

Let's see your,I'll look for old photos.
Have a good one! :-)
P.S-try cleaning your switch contacts or try re-setting the deck.
:-) Power up and off and then try closing door firmly and then if that
doesn't work try working other controls.
Belts good?
Mine got sluggish raising the heads but I just got the belt a bit dirty.

Wish I could trace the led circuits and figure out what's going on.
Try that and get back to me.
BTW it took me 1/2 a day to figure out that that was the play button!!
The tape function switch is the play button also!
Now why no dial light like the 550?
Hey Bobby-where does the ground wire that attaches to the front
near volume control-where does that lead hook up????
Help me if you can on this!)
Thanks! :-)
