Sanyo M7900K beeping speakers

Hi. So M79000K is also my weekend score. Its a beautiful box, but has a few problems. When i turn on the radio/tape but turn off the volume i start to hear loud beeping ( not really beep sound, but you will probably know it). And it never turns off. I cant listen to the radio or tape on low volume. How can i fix it?
If you need more info just ask.

You have a busted belt and the deck motor is actually still powered up for sleep mode. To stop you need to manual turn capstan wheel to release deck to a stopped position and/or replace belt

Thank you for the reply. That could surely be the problem. Where can i get a replacement belt?

try your local ebay my friend....my 7900 needed a new belt but i had a few loose ones kicking about so i guestimated the right one and put it on,but because its not quite correct,the ams doesnt work....but im not bothered as the tape plays and ff/rw just fine so im happy....good luck buddy

Try to visit your local shop for electronic parts, they usually have the belts for decks and so.
I've found all my replacement belts in such a local stores here in Macedonia.
