Hello. I bought a Philips D8436 this weekend. And it has a few problems. The most annoying one is the toy car motor that should probably spin the cassette. Well the problem with it is that when i press power it starts turning really fast and making this annoying noise. Even though the radio mode is turned on and no buttons are turned on. I have no idea why this is hapenning.. And it also ruined one of the screws. Thats the link to the video of this madness in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jeNDpEs ... e=youtu.be . And also thats the picture of that spinning screw.
How can i fix it? I cant even listen to the radio cause of this noise.
I really appreciate your help

Sadly the main drive that moves the heads up and down is missing from this and can only be fixed with parts from another box, see picure below as it should be:
To stop the noisy motor turn the large white gear below by hand this will drop the heads and stop the motor.

The orange coloured gears in these become soft and break apart, problem is these are non standard, so the only option is to find a parts box with these gears still intact.

Oh thank god. I have the orange part but as i said its missing a few teeth in one place. I will ask my friend who has a 3D printer to print it out. It wont be rubber but it should work. Thats an easy fix. Thanks a lot. I was afraid that it was more serious.
