100 watts RMS? Plugged in to AC maybe but on batteries??
To bad it's just another fugly creation instead of a real boombox, is Lasonic the only historic boombox maker that knows what a boombox is supposed to look like.

I understand that there are at least two idea's of thought in marketing

1 build something that is needed and functional so people will buy it

2 build something unique, cutting edge or very attractive so people will buy it.

There are certain things that meet both requirements and THOSE items become a hit.

Men have always lusted after fast sexy cars....

Yes we love the speed, but it also needs to turn heads...
No one is going to drive the fastest car in the world if it looks like....

On this site I keep hearing how great the Altec Lansing sounds...but IMHO it looks like

I hear how great the Kaboom sounds (Norms Raccoon Kaboom is the only one I've heard that sounds good) but I don't do tubes (radio's not the band)

And TDK seems to be trying to build a high end product in a world of $2.00 big spender's which can be very tough, but their design, albeit futuristic looking still misses the mark for me. It's as dorky as the guy holding it....

YES, I'm an OLD GUY with OLD GUY Radio tastes....

What I am asking for is simple...

JUST FRIG-EN MAKE THIS....

I'm actually surprised that thing has a CD player on it, considering its 2012 and hardly anyone buys CDs anymore...
It's design is not a shocker to me, its striving for the futuristic look especially with the chick's ensemble.. kinda reminds me of movie Fifth Element..
70's-80's Boomboxes were designed with the culture around it, 8-track/ Cassette/ Record players and chrome adornment.. much like the automobiles from that Era...
90's boxes with the CD players and plastic, monochromatic scheme fits with the plastic-bumper, unfancy compact cars from that time as well..
Digital era-2000's = digital era boomboxes... I don't ever expect anything "NEW" to appeal to me...
You guys sound like a bunch of Hippies protesting for jean manufacturers to start reproducing "bellbottoms"... :afro:
