Hi everyone-Here's some cool photos of my original JVC-PC-55JW I bought brand new in 1985'.
I have all the papers and I'm digging those out so there will a part 2 post to this unit.
I just wanted you to all see that it's still in really good condition witht the original sticker that has never been taken off-ever!
I hope that you like it!!
Enjoy & have a super weekend-GB. :-) :-D

Hi Ira-Yes there was many pairs of Vuarnet sunglasses back then (The 80's)1 of which was the rare 1988" Olympic ring sunglasses which were red and were lost due to some body surfing in Daytona beach that spring!! :-O
I still have 2 pairs.
This boombox has been all around the country!
It's my favorite especially since I bought it new.
Only us "Specials" like you and Tony & I know what that's about!
It's super cool!
Have a fantastic night-GB. :-)

Hi Jovie-I got some pretty strong arms from carrying that thing around.
I think w/ batteries it's around 40 lbs.
It's super heavy w/ Duracells.My "C" is even heavier (93 watts versus 87 watts.)
Thanks Jovie-& have a great one-GB. :-)

It still looks great after all these years!

When it's all said and done, that's one of the boxes I must have in my collection!

It's funny,... back in the day, the first thing I would do is pull those decals and labels off the boomboxes I had right after I pulled 'em out the box... Now, havin' those decals and labels still attached to the boxes is a big deal. Who knew? :-O

Don't feel bad.... back in the day I used to open the boxes up and actually use the electronics inside. Who knew that having them in a factory sealed box would be such a big deal.... :w00t:

Wooah,i thought i was the only one with a 55 with door sticker, mines all old and falling off,but yours is still stuck nicely, wonder if they can be copied/reproduced ? then everyone can have a "as new" 55 with sticker.. the sticker makes them look like they`ve been well cared for..
