Hey guys,

So my brother bought a Lasonic 975 from ebay. Turns out the trafo was loose inside the box and smashed around the inside.
In the process several cables were severed. It would be great if you guys could help me out with some pictures that show where those cables need to be connected!

Here are some pictures I took

In the last pic, is the cable attached at the right point? The rings go to the aerials, right?

Thanks!

Hey,

I also bid on that and decided it was too pricy, afterwards I regretted it and it haunted me. Now I'm glad I didn't buy it.
But I am sorry to hear it didn't arrive safely  .
I don't know any of the cables but I wish you good luck and I hope you get it working, if you do you made a killer deal (or your brother) !

Peace.

Yes, it is the one from Austria.
I have now glued the broken plastic bits back together and reattached the antennas.

And thanks for your help, bill. I can see where the black double-cable needs to go but I haven't found the right end for all the others. If someone could take some pics of the insides of their 975 that would be very helpful

All the cables from the trafo cables and well, all the other cables I posted pictures of except for the antenna cables. I would be good to know where exactly I have to solder them on and in the case of the black double-cable which way round it has to be attached - one of the cables has a gray line on it.

Hey Zippy,

I had to open up my 975 for other reasons so I thought I would shoot some pictures of what I got.

To start, here is a picture of the transformer....you can see the two blue wires...
They go to he PC board on the back case...
(ignore the red and brown wires in my picture, those are for 220v/110v switch)

The top wire, goes to the top of the PC board...

The black wire that comes from the transformer goes to a SPLICE and connects to the power cord that plugs into the wall...

Hopefully this helps....

(Sorry Bill, didn't mean to cut you off)

One more question: The red and black cables that plug into the main unit, which way round do I have to plug them? One plug says 'B+', the other 'G'

I reconnected both blue cables and the black one but the Lasonic won't turn on. I tried the regular power plug, 12V and batteries. Seems like something else must be wrong as well?
