thanks bill. that box is sweet gotta give lasonic credit for doing what nobody else will do and that's make a cool old skool looking boomer with modern features . the tdk is nice but it just looks too modern for me.

I think Lasonic should hire me and my son as there spokesmen!!! Lol

Yes it works excellent with Iphone blu tooth I used both my Iphone and my sons Samsung captivate sending blu tooth

At least they'll have a good back-up museum if they ever need to reference ANY of the i931 models

I really enjoyed the review man; I made sure to note all of your little swipes and scrolls for editing hehe.

I'm looking forward to an i931BT with EQ in the original colours. Now that'd be just dandy.

Hey Bill would you happen to have the manuals to any of the other 931's? If I'm not mistaken the older versions only pushed 12 watts per channel while the new one (black version) pushes 15 watts per channel proving what you say is true. The new Lasonic being louder. If you have the manuals to the older versions could you look this up?

Jr. Are you meaning I931 older manuals?

I believe the older I931's are rated at 12 watts per channel and the new one says 15 watts per channel !!! Now this is what Lasonic is stating and it does seem a bit louder...

But with all honesty and having owned an earlier i931, I can only say this thing is looking no better than any modern CD egg and has absolutely nothing to do with old school anymore.
How cheap is it to save money ba leaving out the chrome parts and just leaving them black???
How shitty does the huge EQ look on the front now that that panel has absolutely no purpose anymore whatsoever???
Why bother and still have bass and treble adjustments built in when you have a freaking 5 band EQ???

I also hate the new blue graphics. They are just so far away from the original and if they are really as dull as they seem in the video, this thing just looks crappy imho.

The orange display - okay, I like that bit.

My honest advice to Lasonic would be to swap the little LCD display and the EQ. Have a media player installed where the ipod used to go!

THIS right here is probably 1000 times better than any of the i931s ever made:

that lasonic is sweet

the graphics on bill's box are not dull they have protective film over them i believe.

Actually Graphic decals are the new ones so when exposed to heat of sun they don't melt. Max everyone has there own opinions and yours are duly noted.

Although in defense for Lasonic they are literally the only company to bring back Old Skool to the present. No other company has even come close. TDK, Altec Lansing and other company's have great sounding boomers but the looks and feel just isn't classic. The only other boombox that came close to Old Skool design was the Innovative Technology but it's just way to small. There are a few others but then again it's way to small..

I think Lasonic is listening to the people and that's why there is a Graphic EQ now. Who knows maybe there working on putting a deck in too!!!

I can honestly say this box is well worth the money!!!
