If you've seen my "Boxes, Babes & Bots" thread over on s2go, you know the deal: a box + a prop = something different. ;-) I planned on makin' a single thread again with 6 or 7 boxes,
but I nixed that idea 'cause the pics I'm posting are 1280px in width and would take awhile for somebody with a slow connection to load that page.
So, spread out over the course of a few weeks, I'll be posting the boxes individually... Enjoy the show! :-)

Great shots Monolithic! Very nice looking figure also! As I remember the ones I had for photo props were wearing a bit more clothes :-O .Some figures can get pretty elaborate with the clothes (like Belldandy for instance). They can be quite beautiful. The Japanese are real artists! Alternately,at the far end of the spectrum there are completely nude underground type figures some of which get pretty disgusting. I never could understand the point.Of course the Japanese are into cartoon pr0n also. This has always sounded bizarre to me.If someone really wanted to see pr0n why wouldn't they just go watch the real thing?

Thanks for the comments, guys! I may have taken about 100 pictures of that box over the past 2 weeks because of bad lighting and whatnot... Those (finally) came out pretty good.

Hi Monolithic-WOW-That's like right out of the box!!

Looks are deceiving... It's not as "mint" as you think, but it's in fairly good/great condition cosmetically - I'd give it an 8 outta 10. Glad you like it! :-D

Super nice-I like the doll to!!

Technically, it's a statue 'cause I can't move the arms or legs around... Regardless, I'll be sure to tell Arisa that you like her. :-P :-D

WOWWEE Mono those are great shots. I kept some in my photos folder if that is ok? :w00t:

That's what they're there for - take what you want! :-D Thanks, skippy!

Yeah, that's one of the few figures I own (along with the one in my avatar) that has "cast-off" ability. :-D The Japanese are the best at what they do, without question.

Questions about the camera... I have a 5.1 megapixel Sony DSC-H1 that I bought new back in early 2006:

You can read about it here. It's an OK camera indoors but tends to add a yellowish tint to certain colors (white for example) like it said in that review - VERY annoying! :annoyed: I constantly have to use iPhoto to bring out the best in the pictures I take. I hope to buy somethin' more up-to-date somewhere down the line... I've gotta step my game up! :-D

In the past month or so, I've noticed you need 3 things you need to take a great pic:
1. A good/great camera (stating the obvious).
2. Great lighting (I had to buy a bunch of 150 watt bulbs and wait for the sun to shine thru the window to get good results).
3. A tripod (something I had since 2006 when I bought my camera, but just recently started using... It REALLY does make a difference).

Sounds like we're all in the same boat! :-D Thanks again, and you're both welcome. :-)

The 920 was an eBay win from, maybe, almost a year ago. ;-)

I wish I did buy it new 'cause it was the #1 box I wanted back in the mid 80's! A year or so later, Lasonic moved on to the 931 so I got that instead...

Thanks for your comment, Patron! :-)

JT is no joke with a camera! The only shoot I've seen of his is the one with the Sharp GF-9696. I hope he has plans to show off his boxes here. :-)

BEAUTIFUL shots Mono! Cripes man, incredible stuff. I need that radio desperately too, best be adding her to the list.
Love your taste in anime girlies, excellent fanservice my friend.

Got an idea for a shot incorporating a bunny girl grage kit I made up a few years ago, you're an inspiration.

Rock On.
