Thanx Monchito.
You've acually posted a picture of mine .
they're not all the same you know, Mine is named Margaret.
Here's a Mag, not Spatial or Expanded or Moving, but it would feel left out if I didn't post.

Well then here's the Expanding. That's all I have, including of course Margaret.

PS. I'm excited about this thread. I've always been interested in the Philly Mag

Cheers OSS :afro:

This is awsome. thank you everyone.
While we wait for more pictures of the Phillips/Magnavox Spatial, Expanded and Moving sound series,
Lets pause for a quick question.
What about Philco?
Is Philco in any affiliation with Philips? it sure looks like it.
If not, what is it?

Cheers OSS

Philco was originally the Philadelphia Storage Battery Company. It was acquired by Ford in 1961 and sold to Sylvania in 1974. Wiki takes it from there...

The company was acquired by Philips in 1981 in order to gain the rights to use the Philips trademark in the United States. (Philco had been able to keep Philips from using its trademark legally because of the similarly sounding names.) Philips continues to use the Philco name for promotional consumer electronics and has licensed the name for private brands and retro style consumer electronics. Philips also is using the Philco brand name for digital converter boxes for analog TVs in the USA.[4] The Philco brand in this case is being licensed by Philips to Funai, who is manufacturing these boxes.

Here's another one from my small Phil/Mag collection. It's a D8323, and, as you can see, kitties like these, too!

And without the kitty...

The Church Lady says, "Well, isn't that spatial?"
