Just got at this thing and it doesnt power up. I feel like an idiot but Im not able to find a fuse in it? Shouldnt it have a regular 1A fuse somewhere? Any advise or guidance is much appreciated in these times of despair!

The fuse is located on the transformet board which is attached to the back cover.
Watch out as you have to disconnect three plugs before you can take the back off: One for the main power, one for the tuner light and one for the antennas (located on the radio board)
Chaging the fuse should be a piece of cake ;-)

EDIT: Whoops, thought you were talking about the C100 aka :angelic:
I have never opened the model you ask about, sorry :-/

I don't believe this one has a fuse. Could be a dirty power switch. Might have to clean with deoxit or contact cleaner. Spray a small amount into hole in switch from inside and work switch 20-30 times, let dry then test. Let us know if that works...also try with batteries to rule out possible transformer board problems!!!

Thanks 3B! Yeah it really seems like it doesnt have a fuse :hmmm: Doesnt seem to have anything to do with the powerswitch. If someone had it on the 110V setting and stuck it in a 220 socket would the whole box be toast? Im kind of thinking that is what happened :nonono:

yes more than likely it will be toast :-/ especially when using too much voltage try batteries to see if it still works

No doesnt work on batteries either. Didnt work when i bought it but i figured I just needed to replace a fuse. Well that sucks! How stupid to make a boombox made for 110 and 220 without a fuse! :-O

I would think the transformer or board would burn out 1st. Maybe check for power at the 2 power wires( black and red) going from transformer board to main board. If there's no power than it's something on transformer board...
