UPDATED Septemember 7, 2016

Every now and then there's a post about AC power cords and such, so I thought I would create a graphic that can help when someone is looking for a particular style plug. All you would need to do is say, "Hey, I need a 3 power cord" or "Does anybody have a 5 cord for sale?"

Plugs 8 and 9 are specific to older Sony boomboxes. Note that although plug 2 and plug 8 appear similar, the Sony plug is smaller. You will not be able to use a #2 in an older Sony.

If there are other plug types, please let me know and I'll update the graphic.

I have one that's a cross between 1 and 2. One end is round and the other is square. I'm not sure it matters though, because it would still fit into any boombox with a square hole.

Sony had a mini version of #2 for boxes such as the CFS-99, CFS-77, CF-580, etc.
Sony also had the 4 prong square plug for at least the CF-550.

Maybe this should be another thread...maybe not...

But I have an idea.

Post pictures for database function of known actual power cords. List model radio (for searches) + pic of radio and good shot of cord for reference.

For example I know 100% for absolute sure that this AC cord is factory

Crown CSC-950F bought by grandfather new and stored in garage until handed off to lucky me:

add more boxes to the list please if you are at least 100% sure

Excellent pics, Don. How much smaller would you say the mini Sony 2-prong is compared to the normal 2-prong? 80%? 60%?

Circumference is maybe 75-80% of the full size but the two pins are much smaller and closer together.

Dang! That is definitely smaller. I guess that's why a regular plug didn't fit into my CF-520. :-/ I just thought it was an optical illusion.
