I live in a small town in PA, about 15 miles north of MD line, and can get the 102.7 on clear days on my Panny RX-5080, RX-5180, and JVC M70, but all static prone due to distance from station.

Try listening to the station with the antenna down in the stored position.
I have a station here in Baraboo that is too strong and it is staticy if I extend the antenna. :annoyed:
If I just levee the antenna retracted it sounds clear. :w00t:
Just a though for you to try.

i tried with the antenna up and down still no difference
i dont have any problems on any other boomboxes or stereos with this station
my sharp gf 8989II sounds fine on that station
i just dont understand why its just the panasonic boomboxes that do it
maybe they need an adjustment?
