Ok, has anyone Replaced the bulbs for the tuner dial and meters?
The feeds are outputting 14 vdc.
I seem to be having a problem finding proper bulbs for it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I too could not find proper voltage bulbs and ended up using four.... 6-7 volt bulbs. But had to rewire them in series for each pair I believe :hmmm: Turned out brighter than when I 1st got box  this is before and after :-D

Do you know what the ma rating was on the bulbs?
Why did you use 4 when there are only 3
Did you use only one of the three feeds and wire in series?
Sorry about all the questions but i am on my second set of bulbs.
I used leds first and they blew
Then i used 14 vdc automotive buls that were rated at 1.4 watts
And they drew too much.

There was a thread on S2G a long time ago about someone who didn't like how bright the signal strength meter light was, so he added a resistor to it.

Ok I was wrong :-O I forgot exactly but I ran all three in series for equal brightness and used 3 6v 25 ma bulbs. I used hot lead from one lead and ground from other and just wired the rest from each bulb. Hope this pic helps

It all depends on where you position the LED and using light/LED diffuser film. Don't go for very bright LEDs also.
If using bulbs stay within the range of current draw.

I would use LEDs here with a diffuser and see how it looks. Selecting the right diffuser is the key for the good looks and cover bright spots. You can have a good selection of colors too.

Over time the heat from bulbs will discolor the plastic back cover of VUs and make them look ugly.
