does anyone know how to fix this problem??
You have to be more specific of problem and all that is working
haha sorry bill i mean the am/fm dont work my friend said it might be the tuner wire!
What exactly does it do  someone may have took back off and never reattached the antenna wires for FM.. The Lasonic tuners are very weak and need a good antenna connection ;-) AM is another story :hmmm:

does the function switch work properly ?.
these go bad on these units quite often .

you can tell if it's bad as the knob just spins around freely.

well i just open it myself the first time ive ever opened a box and i saw what bill was talking about so i tightend the tuner wire to the antenna the person that sold it to me didnt add that theres was alot of little pieces that was broken on the inside but its fine cause they arent important but i dont have the function switch im buying that from a friend but i do need a antenna

Could be something simple such as one of the audio wires going to the main board being lose. Hopefully it isn't the function switch. When you switch it to radio does the radio tuner indicator light turn on? If it does next try checking for audio on the radio boards output cable by hooking up a small external amp to them.
