After looking for a RX-DT680 or 90 one turned up last week on eBay. Unit is in excellent condition and sounds great. Remote was not working but easily fixed. It was just oxidation on the battery to PCB contacts.
However I'm hoping someone can give me a little advice on the next issue. After about 1hr use the radio section stops working correctly. If you turn the volume right up you can just about hear the radio. If I let the unit cool down or switch to CD or tape for say an 1hr and try the radio it works fine.
I have the service manual of the unit. I need a little guidance as to where to start fault finding. Could it be something like a capacitor on the tuner amplification circuit? I good with mechanical stuff, but electronics has me a bit stuck!
