Stopped by the local Goodwill yesterday and picked up a Panasonic RX-F4 for $6. It's in pretty good shape, but no audio from the right speaker. I attempted to pull it apart to have a look, but seems like I'm missing something.

What I've done so far:
-removed screws from the back
-pulled off side tuning knob
-pulled of volume & balance knobs on top left

It appears that the sliders above the right speaker and the cassette controls are preventing it from coming apart. Do I need to take these off? Do the sliders come off somehow?

Thanks,

Randy

I had one of these many years ago and took mine apart for cleaning, and I think all knobs and sliders should come off unit. You need a very small flat blade screwdriver and carefully get underneath where sliders glide on plastic housing of radio gently pry up. They should come off easily. I also recall that you need to eject the cassette player door also because it clicks inside of main radio housing. Try to be careful with it and good luck. They are sweet little radios and the eq is cool and Ambience is awesome!
