for anyone that needs to know, it was a breeze to pull apart and put back together.
the radio tuner mechanism was stuck and all i had to do was put it back onto its track. also, tape deck A doesn't work and now i know why. a busted belt! now to figure out how to get one on there
the battery compartment for the clock had an 80's battery in it that i hadn't seen for many years which was leaking. no wonder the clock wasn't working! i cleaned out all the battery acid off the contacts and now the clock works again.
i have to pull it apart again to put the belt in so i will take photos and post them in this thread when i do. if anyone has any ideas or hints on fitting a new belt into a sharp gf-800 please let me know!
